Colombia is complex, but that’s what makes it such a fun place to work in. Our efforts here are focused in the South – places that have only more recently reopened to visitors like Cauca, Narino, Meta, and parts of Huila. We are working in indigenous areas where our partners are cooperatives, and our approach is team-based. We work to build a strong group of in-country partners to support systems of traceability and incentives down to the bodega level. The challenge to sourcing in Colombia is not in getting good coffee, but in getting good coffee you care about, that you can get again and again, and which otherwise would not make its way to market.
