Uganda is where Crop to Cup got started in 2004-2005. To this day the focus remains on core competencies such as good agricultural practices, the business of farming, harvest planning, lot-separation, improvement plans, and capacity building. 

The most established and competitive area for specialty is Mt. Elgon in the East, followed by the Rwenzori Mountains on Uganda’s Western border, with the West Nile region in the north coming up as a newer source for specialty. Each of these regions produce different profiles and require different approaches. Across all, we benefit from deep relationships that help us to identify those who are pushing up the profile of Ugandan specialty now and in the years to come.
