Juicy body, lime, mango, pineapple and milk chocolate.

An hour into your drive north of Nairobi and you start seeing red volcanic soil with patches of black rich loom. If it’s not rainy season then it is an easy drive through Nyeri and further upland, where you will find the Kanake Coffee Factory. This dry mill opened in 1973 as part of the giant Komothai FCS system, and is one of the reasons that coffees from the Central Highlands have become known around the world. Kanake is now owned by it’s 471 smallholder members.
