Lintong refers to a specific area to the south of Sumatra’s Lake Toba. The people here are from the Batak tribe, like many from around the lake. Only in Lintong you’ll find more cars in driveways and more satellite dishes on roofs. It’s because specialty coffee came here first. ¬

This lot was collected by a Tokeh named Kotor from a group of 50 women, mostly widows. The word ‘Nauli’ means ‘pretty’ in the local language, and ‘Batak’ refers to the tribe. Batak Nauli is a new project and one that we are happy to be a part of from year one.
